Dayne Davey

The first language of the children at the school is Malagasy, some speak French and very few English. This is why our focus is on improving the English Language skills of these children, especially as a good understanding of the English language is necessary when moving on to higher education and when seeking employment.

We aim to provide as much classroom support to the teachers as possible and volunteers should be prepared to be taking a whole class.

Along with improving English language skills, you can also provide much needed assistance with numeracy skills. You may be assisting with the current school curriculum as well as introducing our English workshops to the classes in an effort to improve their understanding.

The local children truly benefit from the involvement of volunteers and you will definitely feel that you have made a real difference in their lives!

This project is part of our English Teaching & School Support Program.
