Tuberculosis[TB] is a disease that is spread through the air from a person with an active and is particularly dangerous for those co-infected with HIV. In fact TB today is the leading factor in the death of people living with HIV, accounting for more than 400000 deaths annually.
1 in 3 people in the world carries TB.Its hard to know who does and who doesn’t, most who carry TB are not infectious they have what we call Latent TB-just a small amount of TB “sleeping” in their lungs, these people are at high risk of having active TB which poses danger to them and the people around them.
Due to the severity of this disease we urge everyone to be on the look out for these symptoms in and around their surroundings.
If you showing or know of anyone showing these symptoms make your way to the nearest health practitioner.
