EDGE of AFRICA’s Ethos and Principles aim to encourage empowerment by promoting self-worth & education through responsible volunteering.

We choose our projects very carefully. We aim to work at a grassroots level, meaning we work alongside locals, hearing what their needs and dreams are. We aim to empower individuals and to create a self-sustaining community.

We have been working in Knysna’s underprivileged communities for many years, and one community issue that always persists is unemployment.

We have created this page to serve as a networking platform for locals in need of jobs and locals in need of employees! (be it temporary or permanent work). EDGE of AFRICA regularly conducts surveys in the local community (as well as our many other ongoing community projects); and through these surveys we are able to identify locals looking for employment. With the help of our dedicated volunteers we offer those in need, assistance with creating a CV and the opportunity for their skills and employment needs to be posted on this page.

The purpose of this page is purely to provide a skills database – EDGE of AFRICA cannot be held responsible for any dissatisfaction relating to employment opportunities arranged via this page!
