Lisa’s Kindness and Generosity in Madagascar

At EDGE of AFRICA we are exceptionally privileged that such generous and inspiring individuals join our team.

This month, we have hosted Lisa Maloney on our English Teaching Program in Madagascar.

Lisa is a qualified teacher and was incredibly enthusiastic about joining the program from the moment she signed up. Not only has she brought her skills and enthusiasm to the project, she initiated and fund-raised for a number of projects to make a big difference in the schools she has visited.

With the kindness and generosity of Boronia Heights teachers, her extended friends and family, she has achieved remarkable things which have made a huge difference to the children and teachers of the schools she has worked in.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Lisa Maloney, for her time and dedication to this project and to all the kind people who helped to sponsor the projects.

Have a look at some of the pictures from her time with us:

Back in Fort Dauphin, Lisa provides lessons to an eager class of youngsters.

The completed desks are fantastic and make a huge difference to the classroom.

The donations helped to employ locals to build the desks needed by the school.
