Event Management Internship Students run another successful event!

Take a look at this amazing community event organised by Events Management students from the University of Chester!

EDGE of AFRICA has over 10 years of experience in providing ethical volunteer experiences for school and university groups, and this year we hosted our 11th annual group from the University of Chester in the United Kingdom.

Students Hayley Shaw, Kerri Grisedale and Abbie Hosie (who spent 5 weeks participating in our Events Management Work Experience) worked tirelessly to organise our 8th “EDGE on Talent” show (the brainchild of previous students from the same university!).

These events volunteers visited local schools in our underprivileged communities and recruited a variety of acts for the show which was held at one of the community’s high schools.

This event provided a wonderful opportunity for children from different schools to come together and show off their amazing talents! This year’s event was a roaring success – the children had a great time and as always we were blown away by the standard of the performances!

The event was definitely a team effort and would not have been possible without the assistance of the rest of our University of Chester Students (Aimee Williams, Hannah Jackson, Julia Stuckey, Jenna Dunne, Rebekah Burman, Michael Jardine, Poppy Bastable and Megan Green) as well as Belgian volunteer Malaurie Hons.
